MCP server
Use NimbleHQ from Claude or ChatGPT
NimbleHQ has an MCP server, the standard way AI apps connect to other tools. Add it once, and you can talk ideas through in a chat, agree on tasks, and send them straight to the coding agent.
The address to add
https://pilot.nimblehq.com/mcp
You need a NimbleHQ account with access to at least one project. People on the pilot waiting list can't connect yet.
Connect in a minute
Claude
On claude.ai or in the desktop app, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector. Paste the address, then sign in to NimbleHQ and tap Connect.
ChatGPT
Open Settings, then Connectors, and add a connector. You may need to turn on developer mode first. Paste the address, then sign in to NimbleHQ and tap Connect.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http nimblehq https://pilot.nimblehq.com/mcp
Run this once, then type /mcp in Claude Code, pick nimblehq and sign in. Added NimbleHQ on claude.ai already? Claude Code has it too when it's signed in to the same account.
What it can do
Five tools. The AI picks the right one as you talk, and asks before it adds anything.
-
See your projects
list_projectsEvery project you can see, with what's being built, what's queued, what's waiting for you and what got done this week.
-
Read a project
get_projectIts Goal, what it does today, everything it has shipped, open tasks, recent work and the ideas you turned down. The AI reads this first, so it doesn't suggest things that exist or that you already said no to.
-
Add a task
create_taskOnly tasks you agree to in the chat. They go straight into the build queue, and the coding agent usually picks them up within the hour. A task can go on your own to-do list instead.
-
Rewrite a project's Goal
update_goalThe AI asks who the product is for, who pays and what success looks like, then saves the wording you approve. It shows you the old Goal in case you want it back.
-
Add a project
create_projectAdminsUsually from Claude Code, open in the product's code folder. It reads the code, writes the Goal and what it does today, and saves the folder so the coding agent can work on it.
Add a product that's already live
Already have the code and a live site? Claude Code can add it to NimbleHQ in a couple of minutes. Admins only.
-
1
Open Claude Code in the product's folder
The folder with its git repo, on the computer where NimbleHQ's coding agent runs.
-
2
Ask it to add the project
Say "Add this project to NimbleHQ." Claude checks the product isn't there already, then reads the code and the docs.
-
3
It adds the project
With a Goal, what the product does today and its folder. If the product is live, it also saves its web address and the command that deploys it, so finished work goes straight to production.
-
4
Check the Goal
Open the project in NimbleHQ and fix anything Claude guessed wrong. Then add the first tasks, from chat or in the app.
Who sees what
The AI acts as you, so it sees what you see in NimbleHQ.
- Admins
- Every project. Tasks go straight to the build queue. Admins can also rewrite a Goal and add projects.
- Members
- Only the projects they're invited to. Their tasks wait for an admin's approval before anything is built.
What it won't do
- Approve, edit or delete tasks, or send work back. Do that in NimbleHQ.
- Change an existing project's settings or members.
- Show your code to the chat. NimbleHQ shares plain summaries of each product, never the code.
- Act on its own. It's told to add only what you agree to, and you can disconnect it any time in the chat app's settings.
